The BNHS is a conservation charity based in Basildon, Essex. In 2018, I developed a new brand and website for the society’s 50th anniversary.
A New Logo
My first step was to refresh the BNHS’s brand. The society’s previous emblem was a Wild Service tree leaf, a type of tree found in the ancient woodland the society manages. I designed a new logo with a stylised silhouette of the leaf.
A Modern Website
The society’s previous website was bloated, didn’t work well on small devices, and used an outdated CMS. I built a new site on WordPress (not my first choice, but the site needs to be easily updated by other people). The new site is responsive, loads quickly and gives the society a modern, professional image.
